Sameh: A remarkable Journey

Sameh was at home with his parents when war planes hit his neighborhood, and home appliances fell on his head. As a result, he sustained a severe injury to his head that left him with an open skull wound as well as other numerous fractures.

His injury was life threatening: His nervous system was affected, and any movement was dangerous due to his open skull wound that eventually got infected.

His parents had lost hope and were so terrified they stopped sending him to school. After he met with INARA, doctors at our partner hospital concluded he needed different surgeries to close the opening in his head, treat his old fracture wound, and reconstruct the skin. After all the surgeries, treatments, follow ups and care Sameh received through INARA, we can finally say he is doing much better.

Have you seen a smile brighter than this one? We don’t think so! His hair even grew back! Sameh’s journey with us isn’t over yet: we were and still are fully supporting him until one day, he can fly on his own towards a healthier future.
